With a keen interest in establishing a dialogue between archetype and experimentation, Fabienne Rako creates strong narratives and unconventional projects characterized by intelligent concepts and material innovations. Her work encourages a deeper understanding of materials and products. She advocates for a slow consumerism, and believes that products and textiles should consider both the geographical origins of materials and the environmental impact of a products’ life-cycle. In her upcoming PhD, she investigates and documents topics such as local production and forgotten resources and researches a natural drug delivery system made from sheep's wool. She successfully combines science and design.
